How every number gets here
Data last built .
A price is listed only when someone posted it.
Each row is one posted cash or self-pay price, for one service, at one location. We record the provider's name as they write it, the service in their words, the price, the page we read it from, the date we read it, and a short verbatim snippet from that page.
We prefer the provider's own website or price sheet. We never estimate, average, or carry a price from memory. A range is shown as a range; "starting at" stays "starting at".
Hospital numbers come from the hospital's own file.
Federal rules at 45 CFR 180 require each hospital to publish a machine-readable file of its standard charges, including a discounted cash price. Rows labeled Hospital price file are that discounted cash price, with the file's date. When a file lists more than one cash price for the same code, the procedure page notes how we chose.
These are usually the hospital's facility charge only. The radiologist, anesthesiologist, pathologist and surgeon bill separately, so a hospital number and a posted all-in cash quote are not the same thing. We show both because the gap is often large, and we say which is which on every row.
We don't copy marketplaces.
Many centers sell cash scans only through booking marketplaces, whose terms bar copying their listings. Those prices are not here. We contact the provider and list its own number once it posts or sends one.
"Licensed" here means a Florida license number is on file.
The specialist directory comes from NPPES, the federal registry behind every NPI. We include a doctor when NPPES lists a Florida practice location, a specialty or surgical taxonomy, and a Florida license number. That number is shown on every row with a link to the Florida Department of Health license search. NPPES is self-reported; the Department of Health is the authority on whether a license is current, so check there before you refer.
A cash signal is only what a public source shows.
- Opted out of Medicare. The doctor appears in the CMS Medicare Opt Out Affidavits file. Opted-out doctors contract privately with patients. We show the opt-out dates; an opt-out that has ended says so.
- Posts self-pay prices. A public page from the practice lists self-pay prices. We link it.
- Direct specialty or cash practice. The practice says publicly that it runs on direct pay. We link where it says so.
We never say a doctor accepts cash, takes your patient, or charges a certain amount unless the source says exactly that.
DPC clinics are listed from their own websites.
Each clinic's name, city and website come from the clinic's site, and the adult monthly price is the one the clinic posts there, as of the date shown. Where a clinic posts no price, we say "Not posted". For clinics outside Florida, DPC Frontier's mapper is the national map.
Every row carries the day we saw it.
Prices change. Each row shows the date we last read it, and the full list is rebuilt from sources regularly. If a price is wrong, use "Report a wrong price" on the row and we will recheck it.
None of this is a Good Faith Estimate.
Prices here are what providers published. ReferDPC has not verified them with the provider, and they are not a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act. When you schedule as a self-pay patient, ask the provider for a written Good Faith Estimate; they are required to give you one.
What we never do.
- No ratings, stars or reviews.
- No paid placement and no fee per referral. Order is by price, name or region.
- No patient data. Our forms ask about practices and listings, never about patients.
